He studied Chemistry at University of Crete and then completed his master’s degree (MSc), in Food Technology and especially in Food Quality Assurance at the University of Reading.

In TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS he is Deputy General Manager & Business Assurance Director. He also served as Head of Management Systems & Products Certification Division. In TÜV AUSTRIA Group he is the Technical Director of BU Certification.

He is an Approved Lead Auditor in ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, BRC, IFS & FSSC 22000 schemes.

His professional experience is in the Food industry (ELAIS SA, in the Research, Development and Quality Assurance Division & the Fish Farming Company SEAFARMIONIAN, as Quality and Food Safety Assurance Manager), as Consultant for the design and development of Quality Management Systems in Companies trading in Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Food, etc., and Food Safety Management Systems and former Certification Manager.

He is authorized Principal Auditor and Trainer from the Chartered and Quality Institute (CQI – IRCA) professional certification body for the international standards EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 22000 & trainer of the Register of Adults Trainers of E.KE.PIS & E.O.PEP.
