PAPAILIAKIS MICHALIS

Mr Michalis Papailiakis is an agronomist. He has taught for more than 20 years the courses of Agricultural Entomology, Agricultural Pharmacology and Biological Agriculture at the School of Agriculture of Technological Educational Institute of Crete. The olive tree and olive cultivation have always been at the center of his scientific interest.

He has been involved in the field of olive oil and olive oil production:

  • In Greek and international conferences on olive cultivation and has authored numerous relevant articles.
  • As a scientific collaborator in research projects on olive growing & is a scientific collaborator in a research project on the conservation and promotion of perennial olive trees in Crete.
  • As an instructor in dozens of training courses for agronomists and olive growers in Crete, Rhodes, Mount Athos, Lesvos etc.

Currently he serves as Head of the Farm Department of the Hellenic Mediterranean University in Heraklion.
