PANAGIOTIDOU ELIZA

Eliza Panagiotidou graduated from the American College of Greece, Deree College with a B.Sc. in Business Administration. She also holds an M.A. in Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility from the Escuela Organizacion Industrial and an M.Sc. in Industrial Ecology from Leiden University. She worked in business development for her family’s wire production and trading company. She then specialized in sustainable development and industrial ecology in Spain and the Netherlands, where she studied and worked. She began her work experience in the Netherlands at Keppel Offshore & Marine, a global leader in providing total solutions to the offshore, marine, and energy industries. There, she studied innovative strategies for the transition to a circular economy and worked on a European research project on blue growth. In 2020, she founded Urban Camel, a boutique agency that specializes in strategic research and innovation for sustainable development and the circular economy. Urban Camel provides research, training, and consultancy services. She also works with LDK Consultants, a leading consulting and engineering firm, where she is responsible for sustainable solutions. She is a registered advisor for small businesses at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and an independent proposal evaluator for EIT Manufacturing and the European Commission. She is also a member of the Sustainability and ESG Committee of the Hellenic-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In recent years, Eliza and her company have received several awards. Urban Camel received the Green StartUp award at the 2023 Green Brand Awards and the Sustainability Research & Innovation Agency award at the 2025 Corporate LiveWire Innovation & Excellence Awards. Eliza received the Ecosystem Hero of the Year award at the South Europe Startup Awards in 2024.
