Circular Economy in Action: From insight to implementation

Description

Amidst geopolitical tensions, economic volatility, and global competition for resources and critical raw materials, the transition to a circular model that optimizes resource use and efficiency while minimizing waste and pollution has become a top priority. Both the private and public sectors play crucial roles in scaling sustainable solutions and encouraging sustainable consumption behavior among consumers.

Recognizing that the Circular Economy encompasses much more than recycling and waste management, the “Circular Economy in Action: From Insight to Implementation” webinar will unveil a wide range of opportunities offered by the Circular Economy.

The webinar introduces the basics and principles of the Circular Economy. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of circular design, circular/green procurement, and circular business models to address inefficiencies and create value for their companies and their business ecosystem. The webinar provides an overview of important strategic frameworks, analytical tools, standards, and regulations relevant to the Circular Economy, such as ISO 59000, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, and the Eco-design for Sustainable Products Regulation. Participants will have the opportunity to explore Circular Economy applications such as Industrial Symbiosis and the role of Industry 4.0 technologies such as AI, robotics, and other emerging digital technologies in supporting the implementation of circular business models, enhancing traceability, and creating waste-free value chains. To enhance the learning experience, the webinar incorporates real-world examples and case studies from around the world.
